Mountain prizes in the Tour de France
The Tour de France, along with its mountains classification awards two extra prizes on the highest climbs in a particular year's race. They are both cash prizes.
* The Souvenir Henri Desgrange is named in honour of the creator of the Tour de France, first race director and French sports journalist Henri Desgrange and is given to the first rider to reach the either the Col du Galibier, where Desgrange's monument stands, or the highest climb of the Tour.
* The Souvenir Jacques Goddet is named in honour of former Tour de France director and French sports journalist Jacques Goddet and is given to the first rider to reach the summit of the a particular climb on the Tour, usually the Col du Tourmalet. There has never been a repeat winner of the Souvenir Jacques Goddet.
